Car Wash Slimbridge WWT Car Park, Oct 2010

The date 9th October 2010

The place Slimbridge Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust Car Park

The task to rid the area of dirty cars (and raise money)

The clouds were thick and the sun hid yet still the cars came to transport people to meetings and to view the birds.  The water was cold but the helpers both adults and kids would not give in, with buckets of soapy water and sponges in hand they sought likely cars to scrub.  Occasionally the ladder had to be used due to the size of some of the cleaners!!! We were given the highest accolade by the Canadian Royal Flying Corps (squadron of Canadian Geese) who did several low level fly pasts as a mark of respect to the excellent job done by all.  Good job the Canadian air force had their bomb bay doors closed!!!!

Task completed. Dirty cars duly cleaned. Funds raised... a very large £203.

WELL DONE EVERYONE! ...

... And thank you
