1st Dursley Scout Group were asked if they would help Dursley Town Council/Cam Parish Council/Vale Vision to deliver their Community Plan Residential Survey around Dursley. It was agreed amongst the Group that a Saturday morning would be assigned in order to deliver as many survey documents as we could, whilst some parents who could not make that day were happy to take survey documents home and deliver on the street where they lived.
Saturday 19th November, the day of delivery arrived and the weather was with us, being sunny and warm for the time of year. Scouts, Cubs and Beavers turned up along with some Leaders and parents. Groups were set-up and roads assigned.
By the end of the two hours and along with parents delivering at other times 75% of Dursley had been delivered to.
As gratitude for our hard work Vale Vision have donated £150 to the group and we thank them for that.
A big thank you goes out to parents and Leaders who did the lion’s share of the deliveries.
