During the month of September 1^st Dursley Scout Group was one of the three beneficiaries for Waitrose - Stroud’s Community Matters. Waitrose Community Matters is a scheme by which each month three groups/organisations are chosen to receive a proportion of £1,000. The proportion received is dependent upon the tokens received, which are put into your container by shoppers.

1^st Dursley were up against a Primary School in Stroud and the “big hitter” of St John’s Ambulance. As you can imagine St John’s Ambulance received the largest proportion of the £1,000, but 1^st Dursley Scout Group received £196.

Our thank you go to the staff of the Waitrose Store in Stroud for allowing us to be one of their beneficiaries and the customers who put their tokens in our container.
