When you pay your child’s Beaver, Cub or Scout subscription, if you are a tax payer, then the subscription is paid out of income you have earned from which tax has been deducted. The government allows charities to reclaim this tax and for every £1 paid to us in subscriptions by a tax payer, the government will pay us 25p. So at our current rate of £30 per term, we can claim from the government an additional £7.50 as long as you agree to gift aid your donations.
