At 1st Dursley Scouts our target shooting instructors are NSRA Youth Proficiency Scheme (YPS) trained in Air Rifiles and Air Pistols. This year we are running YPS traing to cover the Master at Arms scout badge over 4 weekends sessions (20th & 21st September, 18th & 19th October, 29th & 30th November, 13th & 14th December).

The total cost of the sessions will depend on payment option selected but is estimated to be £90 per participent for the 4 weekends.

1st Dursley Scouts - NSRA YPS Instructors

At 1st Dursley Scouts we have volunteers that are registered National Smallbore Rifle Association Youth Proficiency Scheme tutors in Air Rifles and Air Pistols.

Our volunteers have been running target shooting sessions since 2016 for scout and guide groups in the local area.

1st Dursley Scout Hut

The Goodymeade Scout Hut, located in Dursley, Gloucestershire, has been a central hub for the 1st Dursley Scout Group since 2004. The 1st Dursley Scout Group itself has a long history, being one of the earliest Scout troops in the UK, formed in 1908. Initially, the group met at the Tabernacle Congregational Church and later moved to Prospect House School before finally settling at the Goodymeade field near Water Lane. This dedicated scout hut has provided a stable and supportive environment for various scouting activities, helping young people develop essential skills and enjoy numerous adventures over the years.
